This is a neat little handbook or study book aimed at people from unchurched backgrounds. It is a discipleship resource. As well as being suitable to give to someone who is a reader it would be very useful in a one-to-one setting as well as a small group context. The book has the Bible verses written out in full, making it less embarrassing for people new to finding their way around the Bible, and STOP points, which are questions and pauses for application. The author has thought of many ways to make the subject accessible and I liked the way that the reader or hearer is introduced to the character of Biddy whose life makes the subject matter a reality. The text explores the nitty gritty of issues faced in contemporary life, including domestic violence.
This book and the contents is a must for those who have recently professed faith.
