Book review — You could have it all

It’s always good to know of books you can give away to those who aren’t yet Christians. This is one of those. One of the great things about this book is its winsomeness. The book is not merely a presentation of what the good news of Jesus is, but throughout Thomas appeals to the reader to come to Jesus and follow him. The draw is all of the benefits that can be found in Jesus – knowing God, having forgiveness, assurance of eternity, and many others. It was great that he included a chapter with the title, ‘You could belong to the best and happiest people on earth.’ Here he encourages his readers that they need to belong to a church family and that this is a good thing – something an evangelistic book could easily miss.

As you might expect from the author, it is very solid on the message of the gospel and written in a buoyant tone. This book assumes that the reader has a small amount of Bible knowledge and would be a perfect giveaway for older people. Having said that, it would also do the Christian reader some good as well.
