These sisters live on different continents, Felicity in the US and Sarah in the UK. The style of their conversation makes you feel you are with them. You can almost smell the tea and taste the biscuits. As each podcast begins, they chat and bounce ideas around with sisterly warmth and empathy. Then comes the useful food. I would recommend starting in season one, first broadcast in January 2021. The sisters bring Habakkuk alive in ten podcasts, each about 20 minutes long. To quote Felicity herself, ‘What a gift it is to be a fly on the wall to Habakkuk’s heartfelt, honest pleas with the Lord for justice! And what a gift for our eyes to be lifted to the God of justice but also the God of sweet, surprising mercy, ultimately seen in Christ himself!’
There are now 13 series, some studying a Bible book and others following a sequence of topics. All aim to ‘open the Bible and drive it to our hearts.’ Their latest series is on the Fruit of the Spirit and begins with a conversation with Natalie Brand. I heartily recommend these short, pithy podcasts.
