Book review — Things We All Have In Common

This book seeks to cover the human condition in 12 short chapters and could be shared with someone who is curious about God and seeking answers about life. The questions at the end of each chapter mean that the book could be used as a resource for one-to-one reading or even an evangelistic course. The topics covered are those of desire, self-image, anxiety, addiction, refugees, delusion, faith, worship, dependency, fear, shame and law and the book closes with an invitation to trust Christ. The author uses phrases such as ‘the fear in us all’ to draw the reader in to each subject, rather than preaching at them.
