Book review — Priscilla, Where Are You? – A call to joyful theology

This neat little book, only 77 pages, is a must read. Natalie Brand, in her warm and contemporary style, puts a ‘shout out’ to Christian women to realise that theology is for them, although the book isn’t just for women, any thoughtful Christian will be helped and challenged by it. Natalie Brand takes theology out of the classroom and into the orbit of women’s daily lives. Though Priscilla (of Priscilla and Aquilla fame) is our role model, we are reminded that all the saints are to be equipped for ministry in Ephesians 4:12-14. We are reminded that ‘the gold in theology is God himself’ and that is where this book lands, encouraging us to mine the riches of the Scriptures to know him better and serve him more faithfully. The book is not a sermon, nor a lecture, nor a harangue, rather a warm conversation with a friend who has your best interests at heart.

If I have one criticism, it is that it isn’t longer! However, like ending a good meal, it whets your appetite for more.
