Mud, Bullets and Open Roads

10Publishing is doing a cracking job of producing page-turning missionary books, and this is no exception. It is a story of two countries, Thailand and Cambodia, and two wives, Jenny and Mary, but it is also a story of one faithful God.

David Robinson was an OMF missionary in East Asia from 1972 until 2005. The reader is taken on an adventure as David and his wives (he remarried after being widowed) navigate the practical and spiritual challenges of mission in the Far East. Every endeavour is bathed in prayer, and I was so encouraged to read of how unexpectedly open people were to the gospel. The work continued with the missionaries linking up with Thai Christians in the UK and establishing a network of fellowship groups, even in their retirement.

What about the bullets? Well, you’ll have to read the book to find out about these!
