How To Speak Life - Sharing your faith in 3, 2, 1

What a helpful book for those who struggle with personal evangelism from the pen of a man working daily as a full-time evangelist! Glen thinks and speaks in simple picture language just like his Master. Taking the example of Jesus in the parable of the sower as his framework he encourages Christians to introduce others to the ‘Rescuer from beyond’. Glen talks about Jesus as the greatest ‘Hero’ and the story of Jesus as ‘unimprovable’. Your admiration of, and desire to speak about, Jesus will be wonderfully increased by the end of this book.

Glen discusses the questions he gets asked when witnessing and his responses. For example, when people give their mistaken ideas about God, he replies, ‘I don’t believe in that God either.’ He gives caution regarding testimonies, reminding the reader that you are not the hero of the story, Jesus is. Glen defines the answer to the question, ‘What is a Christian?’ with the words, ‘Under Christ, behind Christ, with Christ, through Christ.’ He calls Jesus, ‘Our King, our Friend and our Bridge.’ You will not be far from Jesus throughout this book. Another helpful feature is the constant challenge that comes from questions of application.

A good summary of this excellent book is in this quote, ‘So take heart. You have good seed. There is good soil. Sow!’
