Book review — Diary of a disciple - Peter and Paul's story

This is a contemporary, quirky retelling of the book of Acts for children aged 7-11. It has the look and feel of modern fiction, using a variety of pictures, doodles and illustrations which could be coloured in. It is written in the style of a diary, and as well as telling the story of Acts, the book explains and applies the text. There is also a version with Luke’s story which takes the reader through Luke’s gospel and a mini version of the first three chapters of Luke’s gospel for £1 which is ideal for a giveaway. It is an excellent way to get children with no church background into the Bible text.
